Experience Western Ireland in all its glory from the beauty of the Burren National Park to the dramatic seascapes of the mighty Atlantic Cliffs of Moher. Ireland’s Wild Atlantic way is a sensational journey of soaring cliffs, buzzing towns and hidden beaches to enjoy which offers a once in a lifetime experience to all visitors.
Saturday We depart Lincolnshire in the morning taking comfort stops en-route to our pre-ferry overnight stay at The Holiday Inn Chester South.
Sunday We are up early to catch our ferry from Holyhead to Dublin, breakfast shall be served as we cross the Irish Sea. We make our way Westwards with a stop at the unique and outstanding Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens, showcasing the fnest horses and horticulture in Ireland. Afterwards we continue on with our journey to Ennistymon and our hotel.
Monday Today’s excursion takes us into the Burren National Park, a harsh but spectacular landscape which has been 320 million years in the making. Here we visit the Burren Visitor Centre for an audio and visual presentation revealing the history and geology of this unique park. Afterwards we travel to the Cliffs of Moher visitor centre, Irelands most visited natural attraction, standing 214m above the Atlantic Ocean.
Tuesday Today we spend the morning at leisure where you can take advantage of our hotels superb leisure facilities. In the afternoon we make the short journey to Doolin Pier for a cruise beneath the imposing, yet spectacular Cliffs of Moher.
Wednesday Today’s excursion takes us south to the Foynes Flying Boat Museum. Here we step back to the 1940’s and explore what was once the focal point of air traffc between Europe and America. Afterwards we travel to the medieval city of Limerick to enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Thursday Unfortunately our time at Ennistymon has come to an end. We depart our hotel in the morning and head to Dublin. We shall visit the Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery for a guided tour before enjoying the remainder of the day to explore the centre of Dublin, later making the short journey to our overnight stay at the Wilton Hotel, Bray.
Friday Sadly our time in Ireland is over. We are up early to catch our ferry back to Holyhead where we shall continue on with our journey home to Lincolnshire taking comfort stops en-route.
